About the Family: 

A warm and supportive family in Kingston Springs, TN (just outside Nashville) is seeking a kind, flexible, and attentive nanny to care for their 9-year-old twins—a boy and a girl. Their daughter has special needs and requires one-on-one assistance in all aspects of daily care, while their son is a fun-loving, active kid who enjoys building with Legos and playing outside. The family is looking for afterschool care during the school year and full-time help during the summer, and they're open to hiring one or two sitters to meet their needs. 

Responsibilities: 

• Provide afterschool care (pick-up, supervision, and engagement) 
• Full-time care during the summer (indoor/outdoor activities, supervision, fun) 
• Assist daughter with all daily tasks (feeding, hygiene, communication, mobility) 
• Drive daughter to meet mom for therapy sessions (1–2x/week) 
• Supervise son during therapy days 
• Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment 

Qualifications: 

• Experience working with children with special needs 
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license 
• Patient, compassionate, and engaging demeanor 
• Able to lift and assist a child with limited mobility 
• Comfortable feeding and supervising a child with seizures (controlled) 
• Non-smoker 

Additional Information: 

• Daughter is nonverbal and communicates using an eye-tracking computer 
• Daughter loves music—especially rock and music videos 
• Mom is flexible and open to hiring more than one person to meet coverage needs 
• Compensation: $22–$25/hour depending on experience

Schedule Notes: 

• Afterschool care: Monday–Friday, 2:45 PM–5:45 PM (Parent open to partial availability if candidate isn’t available all 5 days) 
• Summer care: Monday–Friday, 7:15 AM–5:45 PM (Summer dates: May 21–August 6) 
• Daughter has therapy 1–2 days/week; sitter meet mom with daughter and will stay with son while mom takes daughter to therapy
