We are seeking a responsible and energetic babysitter to care for our active 4-year-old daughter, Aurora, in New Orleans, LA. The position is for Monday, October 6, 2025, starting at 9:30 PM and ending at 1:30 AM the following day. Aurora is a bright, imaginative, and lively child who enjoys a variety of activities such as playing outside, swimming, riding her bike, and engaging in indoor activities like reading, solving puzzles, watching TV, building with blocks, tea parties, and Play-Doh. Your responsibilities will include interacting and playing with her, assisting with dinner around 5:15 PM, giving her a bath around 7:15 PM, and helping her wind down until bedtime at 8 PM. Rarely, there may be some Pre-K homework to complete. Our home has three dogs, including a sweet 7-year-old beagle, a playful 4-year-old terrier, and a shy rescue beagle hound, so comfort with dogs is necessary. While driving is not required, you will be responsible for feeding, bathing, and ensuring Aurora is in bed. We will be present in the home, attending to household duties and running errands. Once a trusting relationship is established, we are open to you taking Aurora on walks or to the park. If the sitting occurs on a weekend, lunch is typically around 11:30 AM, with a snack after her noon to 2 PM nap. This position is ideal for someone who is attentive, engaging, and able to handle a lively and imaginative child.
