We are seeking a reliable and energetic babysitter to care for our engaging 4-year-old daughter, Aurora, in New Orleans, LA. The position is for the evening of Sunday, October 12, 2025, starting at 8:30 PM and ending at 12:30 AM. Aurora is smart, talkative, and very active, enjoying activities such as playing outside, swimming, and riding her bike. Indoor activities include reading books, puzzles, watching TV, playing with blocks, hosting tea parties, and creating with Play-Doh. Responsibilities include engaging with Aurora during her wind-down time until 8 PM, managing her bath time, and feeding her dinner which is usually around 5:30 PM. The sitter will primarily be responsible for Aurora as we handle other household duties and errands. There may occasionally be some Pre-K 4 homework to assist with. In addition to caring for Aurora, the position includes feeding and bathing duties. Aurora is usually home from school around 4:45 PM, and her bedtime routine starts after her bath around 7:30 PM. Once a relationship is established, opportunities for weekend daytime care may arise, including activities like taking walks or visiting the park, with meals scheduled around 11:30 AM for lunch and post-nap snacks. Our household includes three dogs: a sweet and calm 7-year-old beagle, a playful 4-year-old terrier, and a shy 4-year-old rescue beagle hound. The babysitter will not need to drive or manage bedtime, as Aurora will not be in bed during the babysitting hours.
