We are seeking a responsible and flexible babysitter for our 6-year-old son, Homayoun, in Oakland, CA. The position is mainly for weeknight evenings for approximately 3-hour shifts, with the possibility of occasional weekend needs. Responsibilities include assisting with Homayoun's nightly routine, reading bedtime stories, and ensuring he gets to bed on time. Dinner will generally be taken care of, though you may need to offer a small snack before bed. We encourage the sitter to support Homayoun in cleaning up after play and, if necessary, help tidy the space by the end of the evening. You're welcome to enjoy snacks and simple meals available in our home. Our residence is in the Berkeley Hills, so a reliable car is essential for transportation. Our household includes cats and a fish tank, but no dogs. We offer plenty of toys and activities to keep things engaging. This role requires someone who is dependable and capable of adapting to our needs, and while we cannot guarantee a specific number of hours each month, we hope to establish a long-term working relationship.
