We are seeking an energetic and reliable babysitter for our 4.5-year-old son, with a strong possibility of extending through the end of the school year. As part of this role, you will be responsible for his safe school pick-up and travel to our home in New York, NY, or to activities around Tribeca. You will accompany him to a play class in Tribeca on Thursdays, facilitate occasional playdates or afternoon activities, and engage him through play and light snack preparation. The schedule guarantees 16 paid hours weekly: Monday from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM (active help starts at 4:15 PM), Tuesday from 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM, Wednesday with no work required but 3 hours of pay guaranteed, Thursday from 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM (including 1 hour of paid downtime), and Friday from 3:45 PM to 6:00 PM with the option to stay until 8:00 PM for additional pay. Compensation includes a $20 hourly rate, paid days off on January 19, February 16, and February 17, and covered dinner on Fridays if you stay past 6:00 PM. We are a laid-back, reliable couple looking for a sitter who feels more like a teammate in taking care of our energetic son who loves to read, sing, and build.
