We are seeking a responsible and caring babysitter for our two children, aged 7 and 10, in Oakland, CA. The job is for the evening of April 24, 2026, from 5:30 PM to 5:00 AM. Our evening includes a show in San Jose, and we plan to leave by 5:30 PM, which provides time to get acquainted with the kids, the house, and any necessary tasks. On date nights, we typically order dinner for the children from a local restaurant, Cholita Linda, and we are happy to include your meal preference with the order. The kids' bedtime routine begins at 8 PM, including flossing, brushing teeth, changing into pajamas, and using the toilet, with light supervision needed. Please be mindful that Fred cannot have water after dinner, despite possibly asking. The children prefer their room dark, door slightly open, with the hall light off. After the kids are in bed, you are welcome to relax, watch TV, and have snacks in the living area. We ask that there be no visitors, drugs, or alcohol during your time babysitting. Note that while there are security cameras monitoring the exterior of the house, there are no cameras inside. Street parking is available, and we are close to BART for convenience. If you opt for BART, we can arrange to pick you up or drop you off. There are no pets or driving duties involved in this job.
