Summer Babysitter for Young Children

We are a friendly family in Santa Monica, Los Angeles, seeking a warm, energetic, and dependable babysitter/mother's helper to care for our two children this summer: a 5-year-old girl and a 2.5-year-old boy. This position is approximately 10-15 hours per week, with flexible days and hours, making it ideal for a college student or someone looking for part-time summer work. Responsibilities include engaging and playing with the children through crafts, games, outdoor activities, and reading, driving short distances to local activities and appointments, preparing simple meals and snacks, and providing light household support, such as unloading the dishwasher, folding and putting away laundry, and putting away groceries. Occasional small errands, like handling Amazon returns, may also be required. We are looking for someone who is kind, patient, and genuinely enjoys spending time with young children. The ideal candidate will be reliable, responsible, and proactive, comfortable balancing childcare and light household tasks, and have a valid driver's license with a safe driving record. Prior experience in babysitting, nannying, camp counseling, or childcare is preferred. Competitive pay will be offered based on experience, with the opportunity to continue working with our family during the school year for the right candidate.
