Babysitter for Young Children

We are seeking a caring and responsible babysitter to care for our two young boys, ages 4.5 and 2, during our stay on Fire Island in August. This position is a short-term opportunity starting on August 3, 2026, and runs Monday through Friday from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM through the weeks of August 3, August 10, and August 17. Responsibilities include spending the morning with our 2-year-old, picking up our 4-year-old from day camp at 12:15 PM (a short 5-minute walk away), preparing lunch for both, and engaging in afternoon activities. You will need to catch the 9 AM ferry to Saltaire from Bay Shore and return on the 5:30 PM ferry. We will cover the ferry cost and parking. While we do not have dogs or cats, there is a sweet Himalayan cat in the home. The role includes feeding the children, but not bathing or putting them to bed. The children will remain awake throughout the working hours. If you are an experienced babysitter who enjoys working with young children, we would love to hear from you.
