Evening Babysitter for Young Children

We are a welcoming family in Kansas City looking for a dependable, warm, and playful individual to join us as a Mother’s Helper. Our family consists of three amazing daughters, aged 9, 6, and 1, each with their own unique personality. We seek someone who can work Wednesday evenings from about 3:00 PM to 9:30 PM and who will connect with our family beyond a typical babysitter role. We aim for a family friend vibe where mutual success and well-being are priorities. Your main responsibilities will include engaging and playing with our older two daughters, ensuring they are fed, cared for, and ready for bed. The girls enjoy crafts, games, and outdoor play, and are kind and easy to direct. We want clear direction with age-appropriate responsibility, such as tidying up after themselves. During downtime, assistance with keeping the house tidy would be appreciated. The baby will mostly be with Mom, but involvement may increase as she grows. This role may evolve to include more hours, and potential opportunities may arise for additional non-childcare work with Dad's businesses if the fit is right. Our ideal candidate is someone who becomes part of the family and is looking for meaningful involvement. No driving, bathing, or other duties like pet care are needed, but please be comfortable around our two cats if not allergic.
