Afternoon Babysitter for Preschool and Elementary Age

We are seeking a kind, dependable, and engaging caregiver to provide short-term childcare for our two boys, ages 6 and 3, in Columbus, OH. This position will help cover our childcare needs while our regular caregiver recovers from surgery. The role includes preschool pickup, after-school care, and some morning assistance getting the boys ready for school. Our children are active and curious, enjoying playtime activities such as outdoor adventures, reading, building with LEGO and blocks, and crafting. We want someone who loves working hands-on with children, creating fun and meaningful experiences through play, learning, and adventure. The ideal candidate will be reliable, patient, and safety-minded, able to maintain a structured and nurturing environment. Reliable transportation is required for preschool pickup, and previous childcare experience is preferred. CPR/First Aid certification is a plus. The position does not involve feeding, bathing, or bedtime routines. No pets are present in the home. The job starts on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, from 3:30 PM to 8:30 PM.
