Overnight Babysitter for Preteens

We are seeking a responsible and reliable babysitter for our two boys, ages 12 and 14, in Des Moines, IA. As a district fire chief, I work 24-hour shifts, requiring occasional overnight care for my children. The job involves helping with dinner, providing transportation to and from after-school practices (football and soccer), and staying overnight in our guest bedroom to be available for any needs or emergencies. You will not need to manage bedtime routines as the boys are generally independent. Our home is in the countryside, about 4 miles south of Norwalk and 7 miles from the school. While the boys do not have any pets like dogs or cats, we do have one long-haired Chihuahua. The start time is generally at 9:00 PM, but this may vary based on their schedules. You should be comfortable driving the kids and ensuring their well-being overnight. If necessary, flexible arrangements can be made for early departure due to other commitments such as work or school.
