School-Age Babysitter

We are a fun, easygoing family in Jersey City seeking a warm and reliable babysitter for our two kids, ages 6 and 10. Our ideal candidate genuinely enjoys spending time with children, playing games, helping with homework, and creating a supportive and patient environment. We need someone available on weekdays, 4 days a week, from 3 to 7/8 pm for school pickup through dinner and bedtime routine. Flexibility to stay later occasionally on these days is appreciated. Additionally, we would love for you to cover one weekend morning and occasional weekend evening babysitting. There is the potential to split the weekday and weekend schedule between two sitters, so please let us know your availability. Responsibilities include picking up the kids from school and ensuring they get to after-school activities on time, helping with homework, and assisting with dinner and the evening routine. We expect someone organized and detail-oriented to keep the children’s belongings in order and engaged to keep them happy and occupied. Candidates should have experience with school-age children and be reliable and communicative. References will be required.
