Afternoon Babysitter for Young Children

We are a warm and active family in Los Angeles looking for a reliable and engaging part-time babysitter to assist with our late afternoon routine. The ideal candidate will care for our two wonderful children: a high-energy, ASD Level 2, 5-year-old boy and a sweet 1.5-year-old girl. Key Responsibilities: - From 2:30 PM to 3:45 PM, engage our 5-year-old in fun and educational activities while his sister naps, including outdoor play if weather permits. - From 3:45 PM onwards, collaborate with Mom to manage both children and assist with early evening transitions, such as providing snacks for our daughter, keeping our 5-year-old occupied with structured play, and bathtime. Schedule: Ideally Monday through Friday, 2:30 PM - 5:30 PM, with openness to only 3 or 4 days per week. Compensation: $25 - $32 per hour, depending on experience and credentials. Qualifications: - Proven experience working with children with ASD, speech delays, sensory processing needs, or related developmental profiles. - Experience as an RBT, line therapist, or special education aide is highly preferred. - Must have a calm, patient demeanor with the playful energy to support an active child. - Willingness to provide at least two professional childcare references and undergo a comprehensive background check. TrustLine registration or Live Scan fingerprinting preferred. - Optional but a plus: Clean driving record and valid license for potential local driving or pickups.
