After-School Babysitter for Young Child

We are seeking a dependable and organized after-school babysitter to join our family in Boston, MA, starting August 28, 2026. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys working with children and is available for a consistent weekday afternoon schedule. Responsibilities include preschool pickup and after-school care for our 5-year-old child. You will be responsible for preparing snacks, helping with routines, and performing light child-related household tasks to ensure our afternoons run smoothly. The schedule is Monday to Friday, from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM, with core childcare needed from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM. Earlier afternoon hours will focus on family assistant tasks before school pickup. We are looking for someone who is warm, reliable, proactive, organized, and able to work independently. Prior experience with children in a nannying, babysitting, or teaching capacity is essential. No driving is required for this role. Compensation includes competitive hourly pay based on experience, guaranteed weekly hours, accrued paid time off, and paid sick time.
