Morning Babysitter for Child and Rehab Support

We are looking for a proactive and energetic caregiver to support a dynamic individual in their 40s recovering from a stroke, while also providing babysitting care for a 6-year-old child. This unique role is perfect for someone with a background as a Physical Therapist Assistant, Occupational Therapist Assistant, Kinesiology/Exercise Science student, or Certified Nursing Assistant looking to gain hands-on neurological rehabilitation experience. Key Responsibilities: - Guide, cue, and assist with daily home exercise programs designed by Neuro-PT and OT teams. - Assist with community outings, safety spotting, and active outdoor activities. - Support daily living activities including computer work with therapeutic strategies. - Provide care for a 6-year-old child in the mornings and occasional weekends. What We Are Looking For: - Energetic, coaching-oriented, and patient with a mindset focused on being an active rehab partner. - Experience with stroke survivors, brain injuries, or orthopedic rehab is preferred. - Current students or graduates in relevant fields like Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Kinesiology, Nursing, or Sports Medicine are encouraged to apply. - Physically capable of assisting with transfers and maintaining an active schedule. Requirements: - Reliable transportation within San Francisco, clean background check, CPR/First Aid certification, and up-to-date vaccinations. Schedule: Involves weekday mornings and occasional weekends for outdoor activities and rehabilitation sessions.
