After-School Babysitter for Creative Child

We are seeking a dynamic and engaging babysitter for our 11-year-old child who has a passion for theater, plays the flute, and loves to write and invent stories. The ideal candidate will be a graduate school student with availability from Monday to Thursday, 3:00 PM to 7:30 PM. Responsibilities include picking up our child from school on the Upper East Side and bringing them home to Tribeca, assisting with homework, rehearsing musicals and plays, supervising flute practice, and heating up prepared dinners. The role requires someone who is creative and musically inclined to match our child's vibrant personality. Applicants must be comfortable with pets as we have two dogs, and emphasize safety, particularly on the NYC subway. Strong time management skills, reliability, prior childcare experience, and a college degree are essential. The successful candidate will have excellent English language skills and be honest and trustworthy, capable of managing both childcare and light personal assistant duties. Compensation ranges from $25-32/hour based on experience, with a consistent weekly schedule. All scheduled hours are paid, excluding pre-scheduled school holidays.
