After-School Babysitter for Young Children

We are a family located in the Cotswold neighborhood of Charlotte, NC, seeking a dependable and caring after-school babysitter for our two young children. This position is available from mid-September 2026 through June 2027. Your primary responsibilities will include picking the children up from Myers Park Traditional and Providence Baptist Church, transporting them to our home in Cotswold or occasionally to a sports practice where a parent will meet them. You will also be required to heat up and serve a simple dinner and engage them with play, reading, crafts, or outdoor activities until a parent returns home. The schedule is approximately 1-2 hours per weekday, typically from 4:00 PM to 5:45 PM. Compensation is $25 per hour, paid weekly through a household payroll service. You are guaranteed 7.5 paid hours per week, excluding Thanksgiving and Christmas weeks and unpaid vacations. Mileage incurred while transporting the children will be reimbursed at the IRS standard mileage rate. Requirements: - Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record. - Proof of auto insurance is required. - Must pass a background check. - Consistent access to a safe, reliable vehicle with room for two car seats is necessary (car seats provided by our family).
