After-School Babysitter

We are seeking a dependable and trustworthy after-school babysitter for our three children, ages 5, 9, and 12, in Washington, DC. This is an ideal opportunity for a local college or university student with babysitting experience, good references, and a clean driving record. Responsibilities include after-school pick-up from the bus, providing transportation to extracurricular activities using a family vehicle, preparing snacks and dinner, managing the children's laundry, doing grocery shopping, and helping to maintain order in the children's belongings and common areas. The position offers 15 guaranteed hours per week, with potential for additional hours. Regular working hours are Monday to Friday, typically between 2:30 PM and 6:30 PM. Compensation is $25 per hour. Candidates must have experience babysitting, possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, and be authorized to work in the United States. The role requires someone who is reliable, organized, proactive, flexible, and professional. Occasional overnight care opportunities may be available with advance notice when parents travel for work.
