After-School Babysitter for 4-Year-Old

We are seeking a kind, calm, and dependable after-school sitter for our sweet and adventurous 4-year-old son, Gabriel, who is neurodivergent. The position is located in San Antonio, TX, and would require a commitment for the remainder of the school year. Gabriel, who is fully verbal and potty trained, thrives with predictability and needs a caregiver who understands children with autism and ADHD. Responsibilities include meeting Gabriel after school at 2:45 PM and staying until 5:45 PM on school days. You will prepare his snack, start dinner, and engage him in play and activities. Sometimes, you might need to drive him to appointments or activities. Gabriel loves visiting libraries, parks, swimming, and building things; we’re looking for someone enthusiastic about these activities. Applicants should minimize screen time, focusing instead on engaged interaction and ensuring Gabriel adheres to his routine, including regular snacks, drinks, and bathroom breaks. We have two older dogs at home, one of which roams freely, requiring lunch-time care. We envision this job as a gateway to a long-term connection with our family, offering opportunities for additional hours during school holidays and even accompanying us on vacations.
