Part-Time Babysitter for Young Children

We are seeking a reliable, caring, and safety-conscious babysitter/nanny in Chicago, IL, to care for our young children aged 2, 3, 6, and 11 years old. This part-time position involves working 2-3 days per week, with hours from early morning through the afternoon. The exact days will rotate weekly, but schedules will be provided in advance. Key responsibilities include providing attentive and loving care, ensuring safety is the top priority, preparing simple snacks and light meals, engaging the children in age-appropriate play and activities, and maintaining a tidy environment by cleaning up toys and activity areas used during the day. While no additional household chores are required, we expect you to help the children learn to tidy up after themselves. The ideal candidate is dependable, punctual, warm, patient, and genuinely enjoys working with children. You should be comfortable caring for multiple young children, possess a safety-first mindset, and handle emergencies calmly. You must be a non-smoker with reliable transportation and be comfortable communicating with us throughout the day. CPR/First Aid certification is strongly preferred. No pet care is required, although we have a shepherd mix pet at home. The role does not involve driving, but you will be responsible for feeding the children and assisting with their bedtime routine. While the children are not expected to be in bed by the end of your shift, our primary focus is ensuring they feel safe, cared for, and comfortable in their own home. Reliability and consistency are of utmost importance to us.
