We are seeking a responsible and caring babysitter for an evening job in Birmingham, AL. The job involves caring for two children, an 8-year-old boy and a 5-year-old girl. The children will be finishing dinner upon your arrival, and you will help with their bedtime routine starting at 6:30 PM, which includes bathroom duties, brushing teeth, and tucking them into bed. The 5-year-old may need your presence in her room as she falls asleep. There are seven cats in the home who are calm and friendly, and while we have dogs, they will be securely kenneled in the basement during your stay. No driving, feeding, or bathing duties are required. This role emphasizes ensuring the children feel comfortable and safe as they transition to bedtime. The shift starts on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at 10:00 PM and ends on Sunday, October 18, 2026, at 01:30 AM.
